About Us
Dara Pearl of Hope Africa (Dara), a Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) has been formed as a means of enhancing the lives of those encountered. The word Dara, a Hebrew word meaning “pearl of wisdom”, captures the essence of our organization because a pearl is formed when value is found in something perceived as valueless. A pearl demonstrates that with love, guidance, and attention, even the smallest grain of sand may be converted into a shiny, valuable pearl.
Our Mission
Registered with the Department of Social Development, Dara’s passion, with many of our resources spent there, is community services and the upliftment of those who do not have the means to uplift themselves, with a specific focus on providing
education and societal solutions that give those without the most basic of services, access, including responding to natural and community disasters in our countries of operation.
